Jack In The Green, May 2005

After twelve long months of anticipation and Spunky's countdown, we were at last here again!

Friday night saw the Old Town fill with people, staggering from pub to pub.
The session in the Stag was superb (click here, 1.6m). It was full of familiar faces and as usual,
Twiggy was on the door!

Saturday saw Marti's first Cotswold with Mad Jack's at Winkle Island, along with Hannah's Cat and many other guest sides.

Sunday was May Day and so many rose early to meet at 4:30 for "Dancing up the Dawn".
It was a shock to find after 11 years of promising, Si actually got out of bed and came along.

Early on Monday, the torrential downpour was rather worrying after last year's deluge.
But as soon as the drumming started in the Fisherman's Museum, the clouds parted and
the sun shone through.

The rest of the Gay Bogies arrived enforce and gave a certain bogie a taste of that moral obscenity known as "The Gay Bogie Grab"

Finally, the doors of the museum flew open and Jack made his appearance once again,
the whole merry event illuminated by bright sunshine.
This cordial weather put a spring in the step of all the Bogies... in combination with the
exchange of hip flasks!

All the familiar faces could be seen and the crowds were out in their thousands,
to witness again the May-tide magic of Jack in The Green.

We have so many good images this year, there are two pages.
